My name is Nando Machado and I'm a photographer based in London, UK. I make a living with portraiture, which includes corporate headshots, but have more recently added fine art landscapes prints to my business.
On my spare-time I like walking around for some impromptu street photography, which you can see in my Personal Work page.
Originally from Brazil, I discovered my passion for photography in London, where I live today. Coming from a analogue photography and darkroom background, I furthered my studies in Dublin, Ireland, and Verona, Italy.
A psychology undergraduate, my personal work explores subjective concepts that I have learned concerning the human condition.
I am particularly interested in causes such as animal rights, human rights and environmental issues. A commission for a UK-based animal protection charity has resulted in the publication of a peer-reviewed paper on Nature Conservation and international exposure: NatGeo (videos only), BBC and Guardian in the UK, FMT News in Malaysia, CBC in Canada.
I am open to commissions in the UK and abroad. Please get in touch via [email protected] .
